The demand summary displays all of the demand that should be sent within the next week. It allows you to quickly see all of the demand for a particular facility, Ship To, and Ship From combination.
If your customer publishes demand that is delivery based (the requirement date is when the parts are expected to arrive at the customer's Ship To), the demand summary displays based on your demand - Ship From associations and transit times. For example, if Part A's requirement date is May 3, SupplyWEB first looks up the default Ship From for Part A. It then finds the default transit time from that Ship From to the Ship To where the part is due. If the transit time is 2 days, Part A would display on the demand summary for May 1 (May 3 minus 2 days).
If your customer publishes demand that is shipment based (the requirement date is when the parts should leave your Ship From), the demand summary displays based on the requirement date. For example, if Part A's requirement date is May 3, Part A would display on the demand summary for May 3.
